About our founder
Gema Zarina, born in Venezuela, has always been on a journey to understand the deeper connection between beauty and well-being. At just 20 years old, she began her modeling career, traveling to cities like New York, Milan, and Bangkok. While she traveled the world, Bangkok became her home for seven years, where she married and welcomed her first daughter, Isabella, a true citizen of the world, holding Italian-Venezuelan nationality and born in Thailand.
During her time in Bangkok, Gema was captivated by the Thai people's profound love for orchids, the national flower of Venezuela. This connection to both her homeland and the city that hosted her was a turning point in her journey. Known for its continuous innovation in skin healing treatments, Bangkok sparked Gema's curiosity to explore the concept of beauty. Through her "beauty perception" project, she discovered that true beauty begins from within and radiates outward.
In 2021, after her travels, Gema decided to settle in Italy, where she gave birth to her second daughter, Gioia, and began the search to create her skincare line. It was in Trento, Italy, where she met Dr. Ferry, a renowned expert in skincare, and together they began developing what is now Gema Zarina Cosmetics, a brand dedicated to scientifically-formulated skincare, powered by natural ingredients, and inspired by Gema's global experiences.

Solé Lynds joined as Managing Partner to help that vision travel by building strategic partnerships, expanding international distribution, and leading growth strategy backed by 15+ years of experience opening international markets across wine, hospitality, and luxury brands. After working with many brands, Solé chose Gema Zarina Cosmetics because it aligns with her personal vision and standards: integrity, excellence, and real transformation. With deep expertise in supply chain and international business, she is proud to apply that experience to build the operational backbone for scale, and she believes Gema Zarina Cosmetics has the potential to become a category leader within the next two years, while protecting what makes the brand premium: positioning, consistency, and its founder-led story.

Gema Zarina Cosmetics began with Gema Zarina, a founder-led vision built on integrity, premium standards, and real results. Then elevated through world-class science. At the core of our innovation is Dr. Francesca Ferri, our Scientific Director, whose 40+ years of biomedical research guide the scientific development of every formula and set an uncompromising benchmark: botanically intelligent, clinically driven, and truly premium.
Gema and Solé are two Venezuelan women shaped by the world, raised in hardworking families, refined by Europe’s standards, and strengthened by years in Asia, where discipline, ritual, and respect for results became non-negotiable. Now, Solé Lynds brings the operational and international expertise to take Gema’s vision global, building strategic partnerships, expanding distribution, and creating the structure for scale while protecting what makes the brand exceptional. We are also mothers (Gema to two girls, Solé to two boys) and we lead with faith—grounded, grateful, and relentless about building with integrity.
